What to expect in the Call of Duty: WWII Beta

The Call of Duty: World War II beta will feature the following:

Divisions

Call-of-duty-world-war-2-divisions-class-guide-00.jpg

A brand new way in which to decide what type of soldier you take into battle. Call of Duty: World War II does away with the traditional create-a-class feature and is replacing it with a brand new format known as Divisions. Divisions replaces Perk 1 with Division Skill, Perk 2 with Division training and Perk 3 with Basic training.

  • Division Skills are highly weapon specialised traits that have a direct influence on the weapon you select.
  • Division Training grants you access to certain skill types specific to that division.
  • Basic training is available to all classes and act as a broad coverage skill set.

It is currently believed that you will be able to choose any weapon that you wish for each division. That being said, some weapons or play styles are more catered to certain divisions than others.

A basic breakdown of the respective divisions by class can be found below:

Infantry

  • Division Skill: Bayonet Charge
    - Special training on the use of the Bayonet makes Infantry riflemen at threat at all ranges. While sprinting, press R3 to activate.
  • Division Training example: Infantryman III
-Two extra attachments on Primary Weapon
    - One attachment on Secondary Weapon
  • Best suited for Assault Rifles players

Airborne

  • Division Skill: Suppressor
    - Hides muzzle flash and prevent gunfire from appearing on enemy mini-maps but reduces the range of the weapon. To toggle press left on the d-pad.
  • Division Training example: Pathfinder
    - Sprint for longer distance
    - Increased sprint speed
    - Climb over obstacles faster
  • Best suited for Sub Machine Gun players

Armoured

  • Division Skill: Bipod
    - Protect territory by mounting your machine gun Mount on ledges and while prone for less recoil. Press left on the d-pad to mount.
  • Division Training example: Tanker III
    -Rocket Launcher as Secondary Weapon
    -Extra piece of equipment
-Throw equipment faster, farther and while sprinting
  • Best suited for Light Machine Gun players

Mountain

  • Division Skill: Sharp Shooter
    - Block out the surroundings and in return acquire aim assist and enemy names. Activated by holding breath with L3.
  • Division Training example: Scout III
    - Acquire enemy names from farther away
    - Increased mini-map coverage
    - Hidden to player-controlled streaks
  • Best suited for Sniper Rifle players

Expeditionary

  • Division Skill: Incendiary Shells
    - Shotgun rounds which spark flames that burn enemies to death. Press left d-pad to load shells.
  • Division Training Example: Sapper III
    - Extra magazines
    - Immune to shell shock and tactical equipment
    - Take less explosive damage
