Pokémon GO Trainers everywhere invited to participate in global challenge

Pokemon GO Fest.jpg

On July 6, Niantic announced the underwhelming Pokémon GO first anniversary in-game event. It was a sad thing, and not even the ultra-cute surprise that followed could catch the hearts of Trainers worldwide. All that is about to change as Niantic finally woes us with the real first birthday celebrations. The best news, everyone's invited - even if you can't make it to Chicago or any of the other cities that will host live events.

"We’re looking forward for you to join us in celebrating Pokémon GO’s one-year anniversary by taking part in the festivities happening globally," announced Niantic on the Pokémon GO blog. For the purposes of this article, we'll summarise the Global Trainer participation events, but you can read all about the real-life events here.
