South Park: The Fractured But Whole gets another official release date

Call it the most delayed game of all time, but we will finally be playing the next instalment in the South Park video game series later this year. Originally the game scheduled to release in late 2016, around December, but it was pushed back to "early 2017" last year. Early 2017 in the gaming world means before 31 March, of which the game clearly did not make. Well, after all the delays Ubisoft have now confirmed that the game will release on 17 October 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Although Ubisoft did not touch on why the game has seen so many delays, The Hollywood Reporter states that Heat Vision saw the game script when they visited the South Park studio last year and in order to bring that to life in the video, the title needed more time. Along with the release date, Ubisoft also released a new trailer that well, just looks epic. The game footage looks identical to a great episode of the show, and I cannot wait to play it.

Talking about the show, Season 21 of South Park premieres on August 23 in the US, which means we should get it around the same time. It all seems like perfect timing to me, and I hope they do what they did for the first game and somehow tie in the TV series with the launch of the game. If you pre-order the game now you will get the original South Park: Stick of Truth, as well as some DLC incentives for when the game launches in October. Take a look at the release date trailer below.
