Pokemon GO: How far do you plan on walking during the Eggstravaganza?

Pokémon GO developer Niantic Labs are giving their 65 million monthly trainers yet another reason to be happy, friendly and physically active. I am of course talking about the Easter event, called Eggstravaganza, which is live now for all players to enjoy.

Egg-citement is in the air, as trainers around the globe can now gain some awesome benefits from hatching eggs and getting some cardio in the process. The event will run until 04:00 AM South African time on 20 April, so you have about five more days to walk as many kilometers as you can to hatch eggs and take advantage of bonus XP.

Niantic explains the Eggstravaganza event:

“A greater variety of Pokémon can now be found in 2 km Eggs, so get cracking and see what you find! Your Egg-venture doesn’t stop there, though - you’ll also earn more Candy for every Egg you hatch! Throughout this Eggstravaganza, you’ll also level up even faster with double XP!

Combine this Egg-cellent bonus with a Lucky Egg, and you’ll earn four times the XP you normally would. To make this Eggstravaganza even sweeter, Lucky Eggs will be 50% off in the in-game shop!” - Source

In a poll on Twitter, Niantic asked trainers how many kilometers they plan on walking during the event, with the following results over 46480 votes counted:

  • 10 to 20 km – 38%
  • 21 to 50 km – 19%
  • 51+ km – 43%

How many kilometers do you plan on walking during the Easter event and what have you hatched so far? Let us know in the comment section below.
