Dota 2: Valve adds new Juggernaut Arcana style after community uproar

On Thursday, Valve finally released the long-awaited Juggernaut Arcana, called Bladeform Legacy. I loved the look, even though it does remind me a lot of Phantom Assassin’s one. Some other Dota 2 community members weren’t so happy about the Juggernaut’s Arcana, taking to Reddit in droves to complain about the look.

Most of the complaints have to do with Juggernaut being almost unrecognizable and that players wanted to see the hero’s iconic orange, which is evident by the Reddit threads here and here.

It seems like Valve listened to the community’s concerns and has now added a new Style to the Arcana, sporting Juggernaut’s glorious, iconic orange.

“Today the Juggernaut receives a new ‘Origins’ style for his Bladeform Legacy Arcana. Score ten kills with Omnislash to unlock this second form. With a new gem counter and overhead effect that track your total Omnislash kills, you can watch your tally increase in each battle as the Juggernaut’s mask burns with the energy of the fallen.

This update includes the release of Player Cards for The Kiev Major. Head into the Compendium section of your Battle Pass to unwrap your cards and start planning Fantasy Challenge rosters. You can also add Player Cards to your Dota 2 profile to show off your favorites.” - Source

The update weighs in at roughly 500mb. Now, those who own the Arcana can switch between the two styles, as the 10-kill requirement with Juggernaut’s ultimate should be easily attainable to just about any player. Bladeform Legacy will cost you R485 and if you purchase it before 31 March 2017, you will receive the “Exalted” item quality.

The feedback for the new “Origins” colour theme added to the Arcana has been largely positive. However, some have pointed out that Valve responding to a community uproar so quickly could set a precedent. Well if that is the case, I hope Valve reads the thousands of “Give Half-Life 3” threads…
