Blizzard Entertainment has announced on the Overwatch's third season of Competitive Play will come to an end on Wednesday, 22 February 2017 at 00:00 South African time.
With the knowledge that Season 3 is coming to an end next week, you still have a chance to push for better rewards and increase your skill rating; or maybe just do your placement matches for some rewards.
According to a forum post by Blizzard, everyone who has completed their Competitive Play placement matches during Season 3 will receive a “special spray” and player icon”. Those who, at any point during Season 3, made it to the Top 500 in their respective region (and platform) will receive an “extra player icon and animated spray on top of the other seasonal rewards”
Further, you will receive an amount of Competitive Points based on your “maximum Skill Rating” achieved during Season 3. Below, find the Skill Rating to Competitive Points breakdown for Season 3 as outlined by Blizzard:
- “SR 1-1499 (Bronze): 100 CP
- SR 1500-1999 (Silver): 200 CP
- SR 2000-2499 (Gold): 400 CP
- SR 2500-2999 (Platinum): 800 CP
- SR 3000-3499 (Diamond): 1200 CP
- SR 3500-3999 (Master): 2000 CP
- SR 4000-5000 (Grandmaster): 3000 CP” - Source
At the time of writing there is no specific start date for Season 4. Blizzard does note that they have been listening to the community and they are modifying their plans based on the player feedback. Further, Blizzard states that they are “excited about the future of Competitive play” and that they will be talking more about Season 4 “in the coming weeks”.
