The only time you don't want to skip the ads is during the Super Bowl. This year had the usually array of video games, movies, and lifestyle clips, but it was Lady Gaga's performance of "God Bless America" that stole the show. It was the right song, at the right time, and something we all needed to hear again. Watch it here.
But we're here to talk about video games and tech at the Super Bowl. To run a 30-seconds ad cost the same this year as in 2016; $5 million. Unfortunately, Rockstar didn't tease us with Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay as precipitated, but Nintendo did run their first-ever Super Bowl add, which, of course, featured the Switch.
For me, the best Super Bowl ad is still 2015's "Old Spice | The Man Your Man Could Smell Like."
