Battlefield 1 details leaked: Snow map, December patch details and more

One "moondiggerman" posted in Reddit that someone reliable gave him some information about the next Battlefield 1 patch as well as future content. The leak doesn't suggest anything outrageous, and things EA DICE could very well be working on, but until we have an official announcement take it with a grain of salt. You'll notice that some of the details we know already since EA's November announcement.

Battlefield 1 - December patch details leaked

  • Next Battlefield 1 patch will release on Tuesday, 13 December
  • The new map, Giant's Shadow, will include an armoured train
  • Giant's Shadow will have a lot of vehicles, including river boats
  • Giant's Shadow dynamic weather effects include a storm
  • Big changes to the user interface
  • Improved battlepacks and medal awards
  • Customization fixes
  • Improvements for custom servers
  • Operations - players will be able to select either attack or defend
  • Finally, a "Quit" button
  • A scrap reward for players who are shown on the "Reward Screen"

Battlefield 1 - Upcoming content leaked

  • Snow map DLC in the works
  • Three existing maps will also be playable during night time
  • Dogfight mode to release in 2017
  • New map that's similar to the trenches section in War Stories' "Friends in High Places"
  • The above map will have massive artillery canons as the behemoth
  • DICE isn't working on character customization
