First South African prices for the GTX 1060 revealed

MediaHandler.ashx.jpg

When NVIDIA announced the GTX 1060 based on Pascal architecture, with its amazing specifications for a comparatively low asking price, I called it the “new budget king”.

One week ago, NVIDIA announced that Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the GTX 1060 in South Africa as R4,699. However, as some of our local readers for example chimera_85 pointed out in the MSRP announcement article, the price might be higher when it hits the shelves locally. Looking at the first GTX 1060 prices in South Africa, they are indeed higher than the MSRP from NVIDIA, but joining the Pascal family thankfully won’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Commence uncontrollable drooling now while you pre-order.

Wootware

Wootware is the first local retailer (by mere seconds) to announce its price for the GTX 1060 and is also the cheapest so far.

The graphics cards listed are of course custom board GPUs, which means it features an increased clock speed and custom cooling solutions; basically increasing the performance over the standard Founders Edition cards, which you can order directly from NVIDIA.
