The MWEB GameZone Master Series is back for yet another competitive showcase of some of South Africa's best gaming talent. We are happy to announce that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (COD:BO3) and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) will both form part of this years titles. While we are yet to reveal the CS:GO calendar, we are happy to announce that today we will open registrations for the first COD:BO3 qualifier. If you are looking to get in on the action, you have come to the right place because we have all the information that you need to know below.

What is the MGMS?

The MWEB GameZone Master Series is an open, free registration, tournament that consist of two qualifiers per title (currently for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Counter-Strike: CS:GO). The qualifiers are a purely online tournament, where the top two teams from each qualifier will be invited to participate in the MGMS Grand Finale, which takes place at the MWEB offices in Cape Town, South Africa.

The series has been created to allow South African gaming talent to be placed in the spotlight. Last year the tournament awarded over R84 000 in cash prizes to competing teams. Now, in 2016, we are looking to build where we left off by providing a great prize pool with some exciting new ways for our participants and spectators to get in on the action.

For now, however, lets get into the registrations for our first qualifier for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on the PlayStation 4.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 First Qualifier details

Registrations for the first MGMS Qualifier can be completed by heading over to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 tournament page. Once there, you will be able to view registrations, brackets, rulesets, registered teams, the calendar and frequently asked questions. Registrations require that each team has a minimum of 4 members registered, with two optional reserves. No players are allowed to enter more than one team.

Registrations will close on the 19th of April and matches will commence on the 20th of April with the finals of the first Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 online qualifier being hosted on 15th of May. Teams must be sure to be available for all dates before registering.
