Energy eSports is heading to the Copenhagen Games and you can join them

Energy eSports are going to Copenhagen, and if you’re really keen, you may be able to go along with them.

The MGO has announced that their CS: GO team eN.Heat will be heading to the Copenhagen Games to compete in the Counter-Strike tournament which is scheduled to start on Thursday 24 March.

To celebrate this – and the addition of A-Labs as a new partner to the MGO – Energy eSports is running a competition which will close on 4 March 2016 at 23:00 pm (CAT), where one lucky winner will get the opportunity to travel with the team to Copenhagen in Denmark.

To get yourself in contention for this pretty awesome prize (which includes flights, accommodation and entry to the event), you need to head here and follow the instructions (as well as familiarising yourself with the T’s & C’s).

But why are Energy eSports exploring other shores? According to the press release, as “one of the leading MGO’s within the South African Gaming community,” they feel that “to remain a leader you need to look at new ways to better yourself as players and as a MGO. This includes unique ways to improve on our capabilities, but also help develop the community itself.”

To be fair, the MGOs exclusion from the Telkom DGL Masters means they will be searching out as many other tournaments to assist with their own improvement and growth, and Energy eSports’ PR manager Alan Spohr says that the team’s “idea is to expose South Africa to the international gaming scene, and bring back the knowledge as well as work towards getting South Africa as a serious gaming entity.”

Representing Energy eSports in Denmark will be Kustom, Zeo, TC, Takbok and Nefan (and possibly you as a cheerleader) who recently played in Orena’s GWZA Century Cup where they placed fourth, while the team grabbed third in last year's MGMS LAN final.

The trip to Copenhagen is being made possible by the MGOs partners and sponsors: A-Labs, SteelSeries, Always On and MSI.
