How Bethesda plans to support Fallout 4 post-launch

Fallout 4 Season Pass.jpg

It's been almost seven years since we last had a full Fallout game. We've waited so long, and now in just two months, Fallout 4 will arrive to gladden the hearts of millions. We always caution against pre-orders and season passes, but this is one time where we'll say, grab it. Bethesda released the details of "how we'll support Fallout 4 after launch." Let's take a look.

  1. Regular Updates - Fallout 4 will get the same love and care that Bethesda showed Skyrim. That means; fixes, tweaks and new features.
  2. Mods & Creation Kit - Again, as with Skyrim, modding is a big thing. So, in 2016 Bethesda will release, for free, the Creation Kit they use. First on PC, then with a mod feature for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to follow.
  3. Downloadable Content - For just $30 (Season Pass) you get access to all the Fallout DLC Bethesda will ever create. The first DLC is planned for 2016, and looking at Bethesda's track record with DLC, we can expect to get plenty of game time.
