If you’re looking for savings on gaming items and hardware, then you may just have come to the right place.


There’s a few Nintendo gaming items on sale until 30 September, which ties in rather nicely with the opportunity to win an “an amazing amiibo hamper” (until 31 August). One of the highlights of the sale is the Bayonetta 1 and 2 bundle for the WiiU which can be yours for R491.

Otherwise there are no real standout game items for sale, but there is an ongoing gaming promotion, and Raru does have The Division available for pre-order at what appears to currently be the best available local price. For R515 on PC and R711 on console, you will also secure beta access and pre-order incentives like additional weapons and gear. Also available for pre-order at what appears to be the best local price is Dishonored Definitive Edition for R429 on console.


The ongoing gaming promotion on Takealot sees a few new items and a few items removed, as well as some price adjustment. Otherwise, there’s nothing much to get excited about. has a number of computer peripherals and hardware items on special, as well as games and other gaming related items marked down.

If you’re in the market for a Steelseries mouse, then the Steelseries Rival is available for R589 – a saving of 31%.

Gamers in the market for a PS4 might want to consider the PS4 bundle which comes with Batman Arkham Knight and a 90 day PS Plus subscription for R6,199.

If you’re looking for a 2TB external hard drive, then hurry to their ‘Hot Deals’ promotion where the Transcend can be yours for only R999. But be aware, the offer is for today (Tuesday 28 July only) and while stocks last.


Makro appears to be comfortable with simply extending their promotions too, Until 3 August, you can grab the Batman PS4 bundle for R6,799. For that you get the Batman PS4, Batman Arkham Knight, Injustice: Gods Among Us and a 90 day PSN subscription.

In their ‘Multimedia’ catalogue (which also runs until 3 August), there are a host of PS4 and Xbox One console bundles, as well as games listed. The console bundles include the God of War bundle for R5,999, a R6,999 PS4 bundle that includes Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and Dying Light, while th Xbox One bundles package consoles and games starting at R6,999 – a price that may seem a little high given the recent price drop of the console to a recommended retail price of R5,499.


There are a number of items across various platforms discounted on AWX’s ‘On Sale’ tab. They have the Xbox One available for the new recommended retail price of R5,499.

Also on promotion are two Roccat mousepads – the Sota for R199 and the Raivo for R299 – so if you’re looking to replace that tatty old mousepad of yours, these might be just for you.


CNA is continuing their online only pre-order special which discounts upcoming titles by R100 less than recommended retail price. You can secure FIFA 16, Black Ops 3, Fallout 4 and others via this option.

Also currently available is the ‘Power Up!’ Sale which features a variety of games and consoles supposedly on sale. The gaming deals offers Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sins for R199 on PC.

PlayStation Store

On the PlayStation Store, the ‘Summer of Digital’ sale is in full swing still and you can pick up titles discounted by up to 70% for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. So grab Bastion, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, Fez and more at discounts that will make your pocket smile.

PlayStation Plus can bag themselves some additional discount on items found here, while the Deal of the Week is forePlants vs. Zombies: Graden Warfare which is discounted by 10%.

There is still a promotion running on almost all Call of Duty content (games and DLC) with some of the items reduced by as much as 70%.

It’s also almost your last chance to grab the PS Plus free games which include the popular Rocket League, Styx: Master of Shadows, Driveclub and more.

Xbox Live

This week’s Deals with Gold and Spotlight Sale items focus on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Assassin’s Creed IV DLC, Warframe, AirMech and Need for Speed. Discounts vary between 30% and 75% with the ‘Gold Edition’ of Advanced Warfare costing you R649 for the next week. The full list of discounted goods can be found here.

You can also – if you’re a Gold subscribers - pick up Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (Xbox One), So Many Me (Xbox One) and Gears of War 3 (Xbox 360) for free until the end of the month.


  • On Gamers Gate you can pick up Goat Simulator and GoatZ for R32 each, while there is also plenty of Warhammer titles available on sale. There’s over 100 titles discounted, and the full list can be found here.
  • Steam is boasting 162 titles in their ‘Weeklong Deals’. Discounts range between 10% to 90% and games featured include Tropico Trilogy, Commandos 2 and more.
  • Incredible Connection has a few laptops and PCs in their latest catalogue that might appeal to the games out there. The catalogue deals are valid from 30 July until 2 August, but other than Leapfrog titles, there are no game discounts.
  • Musica’s ‘The Famous Sale’ runs until 4 August, or “while stocks last” and offers a special covering games from the previous generation, current generation as well as consoles themselves. They also have a ‘Month-End’ Sale which features and Xbox One bundle that comes with FIFA 15 and Forza 5 for R6,299.
  • ZA Gamer has a few games and peripherals for various platforms available at discounted prices. It’s pretty much the same items that have been listed for the last few weeks.


  • On AperturePC you can pick up a handful of components and peripherals on sale. If you’re looking to spoil yourself, the BenQ XL2430G 24" G-Sync monitor can be yours for ‘only’ R12,999. More products can be found here.
  • Evetech is not shy about offering plenty of specials, albeit pretty similar to last week’s items. There are a few 144Hz monitors for sale, as well as SSDs,  PC rigs, components and more.
  • Landmark Computers have chassis, power supplies and more in their monthly special section.
  • Rebel Tech has a variety of graphics cards, monitors, memory and more PC components on promotion.
  • Wootware is always offering something on discount, and if you’re looking for motherboards, CPUs, memory, GPUs and more we suggest making them your first stop. If you’re in the market for a new GPU that will make your PC smile, then the R2,000 off the GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB graphics card is the one for you.
