That community driven game, that looks better than Triple A titles, otherwise known as Natural Selection 2 (NS2), released its latest build. Build 251 boasts a magnitude of overall game improvements and fixes. The most significant changes however are two brand new features called the ‘Cystem’ and ‘Queued Orders’. The Cystem is an auto cyst placement system that will chain link cysts to a destination for you. Queued Orders will allow commanders to give several orders at once to be carried out in succession.

Cystem: Four cysts to a res node in one click

Queued Orders: The above example is quite simple, and involves just movement waypoints. The system is obviously much more useful when queuing movements with structure construction, attack, and other objectives.

  • Added power indicator for Marine Commander when dropping structures
  • Added subtle view model rotation for wall walking Skulks
  • Added hidden mode for dedicated server, use the “-hidden” switch while starting the server process to use this feature
