Ah, the dreaded loading screen. The bane of the impatient gamer. Long-time console gamers especially find them galling, since the cartridge-based consoles of the 8-bit and 16-bit eras never had them. PC gamers? The master race doesn't mind so much. If you go back to the Commodore 64's cassettes, you could wait up to a 30 minutes or more for a level to load.
Sometimes a loading screen can provide a needed respite from a high pressure session of Battlefield or League of Legends, but I think that most gamers would rather they just weren't there. But while we have them, the Warpzone has a few suggestions on what to do while that loading bar slowly crawls to 100%.
