WiiU sales have seen a massive bump in purchases on Amazon.co.uk following the disappointing Xbox One reveal.
The online retail giant's "Movers & Shakers" page, which tracks and ranks items according to how well they're selling, had the Wii U ranked at number 390 before the reveal. Since the Xbox One's outing, Nintendo's lasted game console has - at the time of writing - moved to number 9 for items labeled under PC & Video Games.
The Wii U's sales have been disappointing since the system launched at the end of last year, with Nintendo having downgraded their sales forecast to 4 million units from its initial expectation of 5.5 million for the financial year. The Wii U has sold 3.45 million as of the end of March.
It is possible that the current sales bump is simply a matter of price drops, though the possibility that potential customers were simply waiting for all the next-gen consoles to be revealed can not be discounted. Were Nintendo to announce some solid titles in the run up to E3 in their next Nintendo Direct, the ailing Wii U could be on a rebound path.
