To paraphrase Mel Brooks, that icon of absurdist humour, "It's good to be the Boss." I mean how could it not be? You get the fattest paycheck in the organisation, all the company perks, a smoking hot secretary, everyone is always kissing up to you, and best of all you can delegate your duties to other people while you sit on your ass drinking mojitos by the pool.
Sounds like the life to me. Then again, I suppose all that awesome only applies if you're the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Being the regional manager of a Dunder Mifflin office may make you someone's boss, but it certainly doesn't mean that you are the Boss, if you know what I mean. Another industry where it sucks to be a boss, even if it's the Boss, is supervilliainy. Why anyone would pay four years of Evil University tuition for that job is a mystery to me. Whether you majored in Princess Kidnapping, World Domination or even Apocalypses, inevitably you have to deal with some arch-nemesis or a Chosen One and they always throw a spanner in the works.
I mean if you don't want to believe me, just listen to what some of the top villains in video games have to say about it.
