The Call of Duty Championship is just over two weeks away, and the teams participating have finally been decided. The tournament have players competing from across the world, making it one of the biggest international Call of Duty tournaments we have ever seen, and the best part of it is that South Africa is one of those teams. The 32 teams will be competing for a share of the one million dollar prize pool.

Teams from North America
MLG Dallas qualifiers
The MLG Dallas qualifiers took place on the 15th to the 17th of March. The tournament was split into two segments a championship bracket and an open bracket. Teams had to qualify online to get seeded in the championship bracket, that comprised 16 teams and the open bracket that consisted of 256 teams. Some top ranked teams were placed in the open bracket, thus had a much harder road to the final 8. Two of these teams were Optic Gaming and EnvyUs.

Online League Play
Online league play took place only in North America. Players could qualify by the newly introduced league play system and only on Xbox 360. The third season of league play was the most important as the top 8 teams would find themselves with a spot at the Call of Duty Championship in Los Angeles. Here are the top 8 teams at the end of season 3.

Teams from Europe
From the 3rd February to 3rd March Europe's best teams competed for one of sixteen spots at the European Finals in Cologne, where 8 teams won a share of the $10,000 prize pot and entry in the Call of Duty Championship in Hollywood with the chance to win a share of $1,000,000! Here are the 8 European qualifiers.
