Another gaming console set to enter the market

It seems there is a new Android-powered console looking for funding pledges: the eSefere. The console surfaced on indiegogo  a few days ago and is currently looking for funding. Why is this awesome you may ask?

Firstly, the console will allow you to play Android games on large-screen televisions. This is just so great because it means that gamers are no longer limited to the high-priced games sold by the home consoles currently on the market. You might think that Android games sound pretty lame, but in actual fact there are a huge selection of games that look really fun - and they are all easily downloadable from Google Play for small moneys. Take a look at a small section of titles currently available:

You will also be able to access your most fave apps like:

Seems legit, IMHO.

Secondly, it's pretty:

This little space-ship looking thing packs quite a punch in the hardware department. Under its hood you will find:

  • Tegra3 quad core processor or above
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 16 GB internal flash storage
  • 2 USB ports
  • Bluetooth
  • WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Ethernet
  • HDMI connection for up to 1080p HD
  • Android OS 4.1

I don't even know what half of that is, but it sounds rather fancy and impressive.

The controller is touch-screen based, but for those of you who require some buttons for mashing, it has a set of detachable buttons and d-pads.

A console after my own heart.

Just when you thought you already had enough reasons to be won over by this delightful piece of technology, the developers went and did one more thing to endear themselves to you. The console comes in a selection of seven colours: order now and receive a set of matching and stylish decorative vases.

Pretty much, you can't lose with the eSfere.
