Hawken is a Free-to-Play mech shooter that in all honesty, looks like it's going to be the ish. Sitting inside a giant robot thing armed with enormous guns and blowing stuff up are three things very dear to my heart, so I'm sold and you should be too. Check out this video of Hawken gameplay if you don’t believe me (selling points include the almost insane amount of detail they’ve put into the world):

The coolest part is that this game is about to enter Open Beta, which means COME PLAY. Developers Adhesive Games have announced the beginning of its penultimate testing phase on the scariest day of the year: the 12/12/2012 and if you ask me that sounds like the perfect day to make stuff go BOOM.

Aside from the fact that that in itself is somewhat rad, the Open Beta event will allow the developers to get a better idea of what the community wants. Spokesperson Chris Lalli, speaking to GameSpy.com said, "The Open Beta Event allows us flexibility to roll out these updates in waves, and get instant player feedback that will influence the final version of the game."

So join us, the MWEB team, as we embark on a quest to pwn everyone’s head because it will be the most fun. Sign up now!
