America's CBS channel is reporting that seven Navy SEALS, who worked as paid consultants on Medal of Honor: Warfighter, have been punished for revealing military secrets to developer Danger Close and the games publisher, Electronic Arts.

One of the aims Danger Close, made sure to stress during all their interviews about the game was their intent to show what real war was like and the mental burden that placed on combat professionals. (They didn't succeed by the way.) It seems as though that pursuit for realism may now have gotten their professional military consultants in a smidge of trouble.

All seven are still active duty military personnel, one of whom has been confirmed as a member of the team that killed Osama Bin Laden. Since the Bin Laden raid, SEAL Team Six has garnered a lot of media attention - including a movie about team coming up soon - all with the approval the teams commander Admiral William McRaven. So what exactly the SEALS may have revealed is unclear.

The accused SEALS have been docked pay and lost all opportunities for promotion. Do you think the punishment is  severe?
