What's the greatest job in the world? Unfortunately that's an extremely subjective question, however, Ryan "Realz" Masterton will tell you he has the greatest job in the world and I'm inclined to agree. It's not uncommon for Blizzard to pick up professional players/streamers/personalities to help improve their games. They did it with Athene for World of Warcraft, Day9 for Starcraft II and as the title so boldly states Realz will now join Blizzard as an Associate Game Designer for Heathstone.

Between leading a team of pros and winning tournaments himself, Realz also runs a fantastic stream which is great if you want to learn a thing or two about Hearthstone. Unfortunately not all of us are able to make Legendary but we can play vicariously through Realz and experience the Legendary lifestyle with his informative stream and interesting play by play analysis. Realz released the news via his Twitter last week Thursday and was met with a large amount of support from his followers.
Once the news was posted on the Hearthstone subreddit, Realz had the following to say:
"Thank you, those of you who are offering the kind words and congratulations --- it really means a lot =)
This is a truly exciting opportunity for me, and (to rephrase the words of someone I have long admired, who once entered a similar position) I hope my association with the continuing development of Hearthstone will serve to comfort fellow ladder grinders, competitors, and players at large that "one of us" is behind the scenes looking out for the interests of the player.
I really can't wait to get started. #TheDream"
It's becoming more and more common for big game developers to include the professional opinions of influential people within the gaming industry. Blizzard have been doing it years offering gamers who participate a whole host of opportunities. Recently Battlefield have included professional players to improve their titles as well. These sort of initiatives create an increasing amount of opportunities for gamers in this industry. The days of our parents telling us we're wasting our time playing video games will soon be forgotten.
