Sledgehammer Games, the creators of the highly anticipated shooter Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, have been extremely quiet when it comes to their multiplayer aspect of their title. Today, however, marks the announcement of some exciting news by Major League Gaming (MLG) as they revealed that we will see Gamescom as the central venue for the first public hands on experience with multiplayer for Call of Duty:Advanced Warfare.
MLG Report Announcement
The MLG eSports report marked the announcement that on the 13th to the 17th of August, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's full muliplayer will be available for the public to play at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. MLG went on to also state, that from what they have seen, "Advanced Warfare MP ‘Game play is faster and more fluid than any past Call of Duty." Puckett, the presenter of the eSports report, also stated that this is the first Call of Duty game that puts a lot of emphasizes on skill.
The announcement of the hands on of the multiplayer at Gamescom does not necessarily mean that the event will mark the reveal of the muliplayer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. We may see the multiplayer reveal trailer released a week before the event kicks off, as we did with Black Ops 2 and Call of Duty: Ghosts. This means that we could be a mere two weeks away from finally seeing some actual footage of the multiplayer for Advanced Warfare.
DJ Afrojack plays Advanced Warfare
In some side news, DJ Afrojack will not be required to wait in line at Gamescom later this year, as he managed to get a hands on with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. After being chaperoned around the venue by Michael Condrey, co-founder of Sledgehammer Games, Afro Jack reflected on how positive the experience was as he went on to state that, "The game is amazing". His only annoyance, however, is that he would have to wait up until launch date to get his hands on it again.
