Over the course of the next 2 weeks, South Africa’s top console gaming clans will meet in an epic tournament that aims to crown the top competitive Modern Warfare 3 clan in Xbox 360 competitive gaming. Backed by MWEB, the first South African ISP to offer dedicated servers for console gamers, Clan Connections is aiming to change the face of South African competitive gaming by organising and hosting dedicated web space and tournaments for competitive gamers. The goal is define and refine the best teams in South Africa, make their names famous in local gaming circles and overall improve the quality of South African competitive gaming. All of this is about to set start with setting charges, hunting your prey and capturing the flag that honours your team as a local gaming great. I’m talking about the MWEB GameZone Clan Challenge Tournament.
Hosted in the MWEB GameZone MCave and managed by Clan Connections , Clan Challenge is the latest competitive clan Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 3 Tournament to invade the South African coastline. On the 12th of February at 8pm (CAT), 16 of South Africa’s top clan’s, including will compete over 2 weeks through obstacles courses of CTF, Search and Destroy and Domination game modes to take less shrapnel and drive the competition back. The format is single elimination, making use of customised international MLG rules to create an equal battlefield that forms the basis for training and drilling South Africa’s finest competitive teams to international standards. Only as co-ordinated units will clans triumph and this endeavour, in partnership with MWEB GameZone, looks to separate the scrubs from the commandos and elevate the rank of competitive gaming in the face of a public whose support can only drive the war effort to a landslide victory. This current draft heading to war has been set, the battlefield and strategies earmarked and objectives relayed down the line. Join us with MWEB from the MCave from the 19th of February at 8pm (CAT) by tuning your battle frequency to the MWEB GameZone site and don’t miss a battle cry or spawn kill of the action. Clan Challenge may be the end for some clans marching off to war, but We Need You to enlist for the beginning of the decisive action to develop the new recruits for South African competitive gaming.
Clan Connections, with and following on from this tournament, is a community driven project that aims to develop with the support of South African gamers. Not only for clan gamers, we aim to provide a platform for tournaments, competitions and events for gamers, and in collaboration with our amazing partners at MWEB Gamezone we’re aiming to develop and facilitate gaming across all platforms, starting with the Clan Challenge Tournament and levelling up through a variety of game genres and titles. We’re aiming to add an extra spark to the excitement of community competitions and gameplay with features like streaming tournaments and a couple of other surprises we have in our stim packs.
