Truth be Told

So you get the guys who are pitting MW3 and Battlefield 3 against each other. Well all I can say is that I play both on the XBox360 and enjoy them equally as much. So MW3 is a bit more fast paced that BF3, well truth be told, that is not the case. I recently started playing team and squad deathmatch on BF3, and I must say that on the smaller maps, it really does feel like you are playing an extremely fast paced game.

The one thing I really enjoy more when it comes to BF3 is HardCore Mode, where you have no crosshairs, and you you cannot spot enemies on the map for your teamies to take out from miles away. It does give the game a bit more of a realistic touch. The #1 thing I love about HardCore Mode is that when you run up behind a tank, the dude in the tank cannot spot you using 3rd person view, as he is restricted to just driver or gunner view, which makes my kamakazi C4 planting so much easier. There is nothing more exciting than running up behind a tank, plant some C4, hitting the deck and watching as the tank starts roaring away ... click ... boom ... Vehicle Disabled ... Vehicle Destroyed ... DOUBLE KILL!

Now back to MW3. For some the Kill Streaks are quite annoying, having some random helicopter come flying in and devastate you while you are creeping up to knife some poor noob in the back. But hey, that is part of the game and what makes it so much more rewarding and exciting. You should be rewarded for your l33t kill streaks, and there is really nothing better than calling in a bombing raid and watching those kills come pouring in.

In both games, truth be told, it is much better playing with a squad of your friends, either with or against each other, it seems a lot more competitive than just joining some random game. Also the things you and your squad can get up to can be quite hilarious sometimes.

Console gaming support in this country still has a long way to go, but MWEB is pushing the pace when it comes to getting us console gamers geared for online play and a better experience. Been hearing some good things coming from the MWEB camp and am quite excited to see these things pan out.

I see MWEB are now hosting console clan matches, that is really awesome and am looking forward to seeing some more great ideas coming forward, especially for the XBox360 community. I myself am not in any clan, don't know the first thing about being in a clan, but would definitely like to give it a go.

Looking forward I hope to see a lot of new XBox360 console gamers and the one thing that Cape Town lacks is an XBox360 LAN, would be awesome if someone would step forward with the infrastructure to host a few as a trial to test the waters.
