The only time the Olympics and videogames ever meet is when the obligatory, and usually meh, video game adaptation of the world largest sporting spectacle comes out. Now, thanks to Elsa Garcia Rodriguez Blancas, the Olympics has had a surreptitious taste of videogame awesomeness.

Rodriguez Blancas, a Mexican gymnast, performed her Olympic qualification routine to a medley of music from The Legend of Zelda, specifically an arrangement by violinist Lindsey Stirling. While Link is able to perform various miracles whenever he make use of a tune, Rodriguez Blancas unfortunately wasn't as lucky. Her choice of music held little influence with the judges’ final score, with Blancas  placing a dissapointing 35th in the event.

You can check a vid of her routine on Kotaku.
