(Relaxnews) - Kingdoms of Amalur's first outing continues to perform well on Steam and Impulse, indie game Dear Esther rubs shoulders with Skyrim and MW3, and historical war sim Crusader Kings II makes a splash.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning held on to Steam's top spot for the second week running and finds itself in third on GameStop's Impulse service.
Alan Wake, whose PC version was at one point shelved in favor of a 2010 Xbox 360 release, comes in at second on Steam, just a few days before series interquel Alan Wake's American Nightmare sees the light of day on Xbox Live.
Dear Esther, whose reflective and often haunting island meanderings caused a stir when first released as a free Half-Life 2 mod in 2008, makes an impressive commercial debut -- all the more so when considering that the Steam chart is ordered by revenue, and Dear Esther sells for a relatively paltry $9.99 (€7.99 / £6.99).
Crusader Kings II is kept out of the Steam top five by Dear Esther but sets up camp in fourth on Impulse. Battlefield 3, unavailable on Steam, lays siege to chart-topper Skyrim from second place.
