The official statement for RETRY says "A game so hard, so addictive, so old school that you'll think you've stepped into an 8-bit time machine and gone back to 1986." So naturally that got me hooked - until I saw the trailer and realized that RETRY will do exactly as its title indicates, you will retry and retry and retry...
If you thought Flappy Bird was difficult, think again. RETRY is being developed by Rovio, the studio behind Angry Birds, so you can expect a lot of aviation, but that's where the familiarity ends. Angry Birds is child's play compared to RETRY. Rovio is not know for developing games with a core focus on difficulty, but RETRY is definitely going to change that.
The game will be free-to-play and is already available on iTunes with Google Play hopefully to follow. According to Rovio, players can complete the whole game without making a single purchase, although they will have the option of buying new airports.
There are few things that excite gamers as much as a really challenging game, wrapped up in 8-bit retro looking goodness. Off you go and to RETRY!
