The wait is finally over for mobile Android gamers everywhere, as The Walking Dead Season 1 has crawled its way onto Google Play!
The game, which has won over 90 awards, is set in the same world as the TV show, just with a new cast of character playing out the zombie apocalypse on your smartphone or tablet.
Season 1 takes place in 5 parts, with Telltale throwing in the first episode for free, with 2-5 and the 400 Days episode available via in-app purchase for $5 each. All that’s left now is the recently released Season 2 to become available on Android as well, hopefully not at a zombie pace.
- GPU: Adreno 200 series, Mali-400 series, PowerVR SGX540, or Tegra 3
- CPU: Dual core 1GHz
- Memory: 1GB
- GPU: Adreno 300 series, Mali-T600 series, PowerVR SGX544, or Tegra 4
- CPU: Quad core 1.5GHz
- Memory: 2GB
The minimum system requirements look very decent, as the game could run on a wide variety of devices. Even though the recommended system requirements are quite high, The Walking Dead has never been about twitch reaction gameplay that needs to be perfectly smooth, so a bit of lag here and there will most likely not hurt the overall experience of the game.
Grab The Walking Dead Season 1 on your Android device right now and fight for survival in the zombie apocalypse!

Top Secret Mobile Bond Game in the Works
Glu Mobile has announced that they will be creating a free-to-play mobile game based on the James Bond franchise in partnership with EON Productions and MGM Interactive, yet actual details on the game remain top secret.
This will be the first time James Bond makes his way onto mobile, after having a long journey on both PC and consoles, yet the only Bond game that is truly worth remembering is GoldenEye 007 on the N64.
Glu’s CEO, Niccolo de Masi, states: "Bond offers a deep catalogue of thematic inspiration for gaming. We are honored by the opportunity to be the first to bring such a storied franchise to free-to-play mobile gaming. We look forward to delivering a never before seen gameplay experience on mobile for the passionate worldwide community of Bond fans."- Source
Gary Barber, MGM Chairman and CEO adds: “"Glu has an established track record producing high-fidelity mobile games and we are confident in the company's ability to deliver an experience worthy of the Bond name” - Source
The game is scheduled for an initial release in summer 2015 and will be available to mobile gamers worldwide across all major mobile gaming platforms. The never before seen gameplay experience boasted by Glu sounds amazing and I sincerely hope they can pull of a game that is inspired by the franchise’s rich history, narratives, themes and characters.
